Roger Bennett Riggle: I am Roger Bennett Riggle and today we are exploring the world of advanced tap dancing. This is one of my advanced tap students Alison Taylor. She will be demonstrating for you now the triple time step. The triple time step has more sounds in it and it's a little more complicated with the way it changes.
So here we go with the tap dancing demonstration. First you are going to brush back the toe on the right foot. Then you are going to drop the left heel. Then you are going to shuffle with the right foot. Remember, shuffle has two sounds and takes no weight and then you are going put that toe down. Then you are going to flap on the left foot which does take weight two sounds, which does take weight and then you are going to switch off with toe heel right left. Let's do that once more again.
We are going to brush left, heel right, shuffle left, put the left toe down, flap right and switch off left right. Now let's do that very slowly. Here we go. We are going to brush, go ahead brush heel, shuffle toe, flap, right left. Brush heel, shuffle toe, flap. Again, brush heel, shuffle toe, flap, switch off. Brush heel, shuffle toe, flap very good.
Now, we are going to do it up to tempo for you and we will also show it to you from the side. Here we go. Five six seven eight. One and the two and three and four brush heel, shuffle toe, flap, switch off. Brush heel, shuffle toe, flap, switch off. One two three four five six. From this side, one two three four five six seven eight. One two three four five six, very good and there you have the triple time step.
Next, we will tap dancing demo for you the LA time step which is even more sounds and a little bit more complicated.
