The Most Effective 20-Minute Workout

    Fitness expert John Basedow demonstrates the most effective no weight, 20 minute work out for exercisers of all levels.

    John Basedow: Not everyone has time for a full workout, however, with just 20 minutes a day; you can rip yourself back into shape without a need for a gym. Now here are my eight moves for the most result producing 20 minutes no weight workout of your life.

    Number 1, warm up with 60 seconds of sprints, you can run outside or inside, use a nearby staircase and take them two at a time if you can. Number 2 is what I call high knee in place. Just bring each knee towards your chest in alternate for 60 seconds. Number 3; stimulate the motion of jumping rope for 60 seconds. Number 4, complete as many squats in 40 seconds as you can then take a 20 second break.

    Number 5; complete as many jumping jacks as you can in 40 seconds, take a 20 second break. Number 6, complete as many push-ups as you can in 40 seconds and once again take a 20 second break. Number 7, complete as many stomach churches as you can in 40 seconds, keep your legs elevated on a bench, chair or bed, take a 20 second break.

    And finally number 8, complete as many oblique crunches as you can in 40 seconds taking a 20 second break. And then take a 2 minute rest, drink water if you feel the need, go right back and repeat the cycle. Complete this cycle in the morning to energize yourself for the day or after work to sweat the stress away.

    Just 20 Minutes a day will add up toward the three hours of physical activity a week that you should be getting.
