Andy Segal: Hi! My name is Andy Segal.
Bruce Barthelette: I'm Bruce Barthelette. Today we're going to show you some 8-Ball tips, for both, the more experienced player, and also the player that's just starting out.
Andy Segal: Now, we're not going to get into the detailed rules of 8-ball, because they may differ from place to place, but the general rules are the same. One player has solids, one player has stripes. You shoot all of your group first, shoot the 8-ball to win the game.
Now in this video, what we're going to show you is how to break, what to do after the break, how to run the table, how to play defensive if you get in in a tough situation, and how to get out of a defensive shot when your opponent plays safety on you.
Bruce Barthelette: One thing to keep in mind is the safety issue. When you're just starting out, balls will have a tendency to maybe fly off the table. Just keep this in mind, if there are small children around.
Andy Segal: Now before we start, let me tell you a little bit about ourselves. Bruce and I were both members of the 2006 and 2008 Championship United States Trick Shot team. We've also been involved in TV shows, movies, commercials, and we both own and operate an amateur pool league called the American Poolplayers Association, Bruce in Connecticut and myself in New Jersey. Ready to get started?
Bruce Barthelette: I'm ready.
Andy Segal: Let's go.
Bruce Barthelette: Let's have fun.
