Julie Baumgartner: The hospitality industry is a constantly growing job market with a demand for workers increasing each year. With travel and tourism employing roughly 250,000 around the world and creating almost 75 million jobs, the hotel industry job increase is predicted to grow almost 300 million dollars before 2015 comes to a close. And this is all within the decade. The industry isn't only being hospitable to its customers, but also to America's youth. Everyday opportunities are being created to help young people obtain jobs and start successful careers, already being a vastly young industry the creation of these new jobs will drastically improve the economy as well. Jobs in hospitality are all different, but all very important to the success of the industry. In a hotel, jobs can range from general manager to clerk to a bellhop or even a maid.
In hotel restaurants, they range from executive chef to bus boy. And if you don't think working with the actual customers is for you, you could always become a meeting planner or sales representative of a hospitality corporation.
No matter if you are working in the actual hotel or at an office, the hospitality and tourism industry is full of jobs just waiting to be accepted by you.
