Hi I'm Emerald Robinson and here's your Pop Social News Update.

One star is addressing his tragic loss and how he was able to overcome it.

In an intimate interview John Travolta revealed that his son's death was the worst thing to ever happen. Opening up in an on stage interview, the BBC reports that the Pulp Fiction actor hit rock bottom when he said "The truth is…I don't know if I was going to make it." "Life was not longer interesting to me," he said, "so it took a lot to get me better." His teenage son Jett Travolta was just 16 years old when he died during a seizure in 2009 while on vacation in the Bahamas. Both he and his wife Kelly Preston have since confirmed that Jett had autism and a history of seizures. The Saturday Night Fever star who just turned 60 admitted that after the death he didn't want to wake up. But he said that he owes the controversial religion of Scientology for helping him through the tough times, adding that they didn't take a day off. Working through different angles of the techniques to get through grief and loss. And to make me feel that finally I could get through a day.

Glad to see he was able to pick himself back up again.
