Becca Frucht: Throughout The Hunger Games series a four-note whistle is a haunting reminder of the rebellion. I was at the LA Premiere of Mockingjay Part 1 and challenged celebs to whistle the tune.
Some cast members nailed it, some didn't, and some were too embarrassed to even try.
Erika Bierman: I am actually really good at whistling, but like right now my throat is like really --Becca Frucht: Just try it.
Erika Bierman: Okay.
Mahershala Ali: Oh no! Because I can't whistle anything.
Becca Frucht: Can either of you do The Hunger Games whistle, the like haunting whistle?
Joey Graceffa: [Whistles]Erika Bierman: I going to sound like really cocky right now, it's probably going to be like really bad.
Patrina Miller: [Whistles] I think I was close.
Becca Frucht: That's so good!
Patrina Miller: I am a singer but I don't know if that's it.
Elden Henson: The very first day I'm supposed to do this whistle thing, and I just faked it man, I can't even really whistle.
Evan Ross: I don't, well she is a - I could do [Whistles], I don't know the whole thing. I don't know the whole thing.
Elden Henson: My wife hates whistling, so I am not even allowed to whistle at home.
Francis Lawrence: [Whistles]Becca Frucht: Very good!
Francis Lawrence: It was close. I bet you the notes are off but it sounds about right.
Erika Bierman: Okay [Whistles]Becca Frucht: That was amazing!
