Now I'll discuss how to over come hunger and boredom while on a diet. Hunger is a major cause of failure. It's a response to depravation, it's a response in any living organism anytime we don't get the food that we are used to or if we are deprived to food we get hungry. We certainly experience evidence of hunger such as stomach growling, maybe we'll smell some food or pass by a pizza place or a doughnut shop, we get this certain urge that we want to eat, maybe we see the M&Ms on our boss's desk. But always feeling hungry will never to lead to a successful weight loss, eventually we're going to overcome that hunger by eating.
So what do we do? We need to plan for those temptations when hunger gets to us. We need to get enough to eat at meals. We need to have snacks in between meals that are healthy, and especially to avoid those what we call Empty Calories. Sometimes hunger can be so much of a problem that it even needs prescription medication. If you have hunger to that degree you need to talk to your doctor, using medication certainly is controversial.
Another issue is boredom, eating the same foods or supplements day-in and day-out, they can certainly help in the short-term, we have medical evidence that they work, because we don't have to make as many choices as we get away from all the foods we're used to eating. But it's not going to last forever, not for the long-term, we need variety and the types of food that we eat, we need to add different foods in our lives, eat different spices. We need to have the variety not just in foods, but in our physical activities.
We're talking about a change in lifestyle not just a change in diet, and so these are just a few tips on how to overcome hunger and boredom while on a diet.
