In this video, Jay Dicharry, director of the SPEED Performance Clinic and the Motion Analysis Lab Coordinator at the University of Virginia Health System, discusses some common injuries or problem tendencies among people who play sports.

Host: What are some common injuries or problem tendencies among people who play sports? Jay Dicharry: Common injuries throughout various sports can be divided into two groups. First we have traumatic injuries such as broken bones. These usually just stem from impact or some type of overload but most of the issues that athletes deal within endurance sports stem from overuse type injuries where the force becomes too great for the tissue, predominantly encompassing the ankle, knee, spine and the neck and the shoulders as well.
