Storm Bowling expert Randy Pedersen discusses the basics of spot bowling.

Randy Pedersen: Hi everybody, Randy Pedersen here for Storm Bowling products. Today we are going to be talking about spot bowling. Why is spot bowling so important?

Well spot bowling is important because it's going to help you be more consistent, it's going to raise your scores and help you have more fun in the sport of bowling.

Imagine shooting a rifle at a target and not using the sights. Well in essence if you are not spot bowling that's kind of what you are doing. Instead of looking at the head pin which is 60 feet down the lane, pick out a target, the arrows on the lane are only 15 feet away, there is even dots on the lane that's even closer like at about 8 feet.

It really doesn't matter if you use dots or the arrows as long as you are using a specific target. And in this way you can always make adjustments with your feet left or right using that same target to help you get the bowling ball to the pocket much more consistently.

So remember if you want to throw on more strikes, have more fun and raise your scores make sure you spot ball.
