Host: What should I bring to an interview?
Karen James Chopra: If you are in an industry where you have to bring materials or a portfolio, make sure that you have included that, but for most interviews, I usually advise clients to bring just an opened binder of portfolio that has a notepad in it so that you can take notes, that has a ring to hold the pen, so that you don't have the pen in your hand and click it because many of us are pen-clickers, I happened to be one of those.
And then it's got a pocket for the other information that you are bringing along. What goes in that pocket are multiple copies of your resume. Client is always astonished that how many times they walk-in to talk to somebody and they can't find the copy of their resume.
So have the extra copies of the resume with you. Have any of your research material in that pocket and also make sure that you have got a typed list of questions that you have for them in the pocket and all of that should be in your hands, when you walk-in the door.
