Tutor Bernadette Chimner discusses strategies to use on the analogy and antonym questions.

Host: What strategies can I use on the analogy and antonym questions?

Bernadette Chimner: Clearly, vocabulary is really important so if you have some word lists with roots, prefixes and suffixes, this is going to help you make at least an educated guess if you don't know what a word means. One of the other strategies you can use is to say the word softly to yourself when you are there because a lot of times a word in print on the screen will look really unfamiliar, but if you say it softly under your breath you will sometimes realize that you actually do know the meaning, you just hadn't realized in text what it was really saying.
