Host: When should we begin writing our own wedding vows?
Bill Cochran: Because the vows are probably the most significant part of the ceremony, in fact they are so important, they are what really makes you legally married. You certainly don't want to put it off to the last minute. I would say to plan on about two months to write your vows. That is just to look on them and to give time for the process to develop in your mind. So, I would say at least two months before the ceremony starting on writing those vows.
