Publisher James Frey discusses who might be interested in reading the book you are writing.

Host: Who would be interested in reading my book?

James Frey: Well, it really depends on what the content of the book is. Some people write books for their family as a legacy publication for them and friends that are close to their family, some people want to write books to fulfill a dream and that could be any of those different genres with multiple content depending on what the author wants to do it with it, but you absolutely have to look at who the prospects are for reading your book.

If it is family, they are going to be most interested in your book, if it is friends they are going to be most interested in it, but if your book's genre is things like fiction or poetry that extensive interested readers will be to a wider cross-section of the population than just friends and family.
