    Judith W. Cousins: Hi I am Judi Cousins, I am a Clinical Social Worker and I am going to talk about the reasons to quit drinking. Why would somebody want to quit drinking? We will talk about that.

    Host: Why would a person consider quitting drinking?

    Judith W. Cousins: A person would consider quitting drinking if they are noticing in their life that they are having some negative consequences of their drinking and this can be another in a number of ways. For instance, a person maybe feeling unwell, for example, they maybe having stomach problems. A person would consider quitting if they are having legal problem. For instance a person who is drinking too much and gets into you why is in trouble with a legal system. A person would consider quitting if they are having financial difficulties. For instance they maybe spending too much money on drinking, they maybe spending a lot of money on partying. A person would consider drinking if other people in their life are saying you are drinking too much, this is causing a problem. I am concerned that you passed out last night. So there are lot of different reasons why a person would consider not drinking, stopping their drinking.
