Linda Stahl: Hi, I'm Linda Stahl, Director of the Hershey Kitchens. Today we're going to be making Witches Hat Cookies. First place about 10 of the Hershey's special dark chocolates or Hershey's kisses milk chocolates in the freezer, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and either line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or you can also grease and flour it. Empty your family size original Supreme Brownie Mix with Hershey's syrup pouch into the bowl, add the syrup, one quarter cup Hershey's cocoa, one quarter cup water, one quarter cup vegetable oil, and the two eggs. First crack your egg into another container that way if you had an egg shell in there, it's much easier to get out at this point than simply a matter of mixing this together until all your ingredients are moistened and I think we're ready to start. Drop the batter by scant teaspoons onto your baking sheet. You want to put about 12 cookies on a sheet, that gives you nice uniform baking, but if you want all your hats to be the same size you want to try and drop the same amount of batter each time. And these simply go into a 350 oven for 8 minutes or until they're set. Looks like they're finished, so we'll take these out, let them cool for a minute and then go on to our next step.
Now, we're going to take those frozen chocolates and gently press into the cookie to make an indentation. Now because the cookies are hot as we go through these, the bottom of your kiss chocolate is going to start to melt. When that happens, you simply get another one and continue pressing. Then what you do is simply slide the parchment paper off onto the cooling rack and allow the cookies to cool completely before going to the next step. I'm going to take the chocolate frosting, put a little bit in each indentation. You don't want to have a whole lot here because you don't want to see it. Then we're going to take our Special Dark Kiss Chocolate and place it on there, that becomes top of the witches hat. The frosting is going to hold the candy piece in place. Pick up each cookie, hold it in your hand and then I'm going to take this black decorative frosting that I've out into a tube, go around the outside, that's the band of the hat, put a little bit of a ribbon on the back, add a little bit of the frosting here on the bow, and finish off with a bright yellow dot. And all you need to do is repeat that for the rest of your cookies on the tray. So let's try it. So that's how you make a witches hat cookie, a great spooky treat that your family is sure to enjoy.
